Where did my network go?

You might refer to me as "Old One Note" but this idea of Working from Home (WFH) is quite compelling. Add this to my earlier entries on the subject.

When you work from home; with whom are you networking?

A 10% cut in pay!

I recently read the results of a survey on eWeek that ask 1500 IT professionals if they would accept a 10% cut in pay provided they were given the opportunity to work from home;

And the survey says: 37% would accept.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

The word means many things to many people: respect for the law, respect for authority, perhaps respect for one’s self. But what does it mean in a business context: respect for the customer, the company, and colleagues? Being respectful of their time, ideas, and effort?

Looking for Build and Deployment software

I just completed a day and a half training on BuildForge. BuildForge was recently acquired by IBM and added to their Rational suite of software development and process control tools. I was impressed with the tool's approach. This tool is not for the faint at heart it comes with a substantial price tag, but for medium and large IT shops it could be just what you need to automate your build and deployment.
